Hot 100 Community Member Spotlight

Here’s the deal, every week the editors of SURFER Magazine will be selecting one Hot 100 community member to spotlight and blow up online. At the end of the month, all four of the spotlighted surfers will be thrown into a poll. Plain and simple, whoever gets the most votes in the poll gets featured in SURFER Magazine, as well as wins a whole heap of surf loot.

The Skinny:

The Hot 100 Community Member Spotlight runs from the beginning until the end of each month. At the end of the month a poll will be posted on SurferHot100.com, and when it’s posted it will immediately be open to voting.

The Look:

The community member with the most votes gets a featured spot in SURFER Magazine as well as a prize pack from the month’s sponsor.

The Campaign

It’s your basic political campaign. When the poll is posted at the end of every month it’s up to each spotlighted community member to rally their friends and supporters and get them to vote. Forget the electoral college vote, this is simple, most votes makes the mag and wins big.

In the event of a dispute over your identity, the Uploaded Content will be deemed submitted by the holder of the e-mail account. The sponsor is not responsible for technical failures in entry transmission, or lost, late, misdirected, damaged, or incomplete entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any damage to your computer occasioned by participation in the contest or downloading any information necessary to participate in the contest. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel the contest if it becomes technically corrupted and select winners from all eligible entries received before cancellation.

Legal Jargon

SURFER and Loop’d reserves the right to remove any Uploaded Content which, in its sole discretion, is deemed to be inappropriate, offensive, or in violation of these contest rules. Sponsor also reserves the right, in its sole discretion to disqualify you in the event you are deemed to have tampered with the entry process, violated these contest rules, or have acted in an unsportsmanlike way or disruptive manner with the intent to threaten, harass, abuse, or annoy another person in connection with the contest.

As a condition of entry into this contest and by uploading content to the contest site, you represent and warrant the following regarding your Uploaded Content: (i) the Uploaded Content is original and legally created; (ii) the Uploaded Content does not infringe on intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights or any other legal or moral rights of a third party; (iii) you own all rights to the Uploaded Content, including but not limited to, all copyrights related to the Uploaded Content; (iv) the Uploaded Content has not been entered in or won a previous contest or award; and (v) the Uploaded Content has not been previously published or distributed by the media.

By uploading the Uploaded Content, you irrevocably grant Sponsor and its affiliates, legal representatives, assigns, agents and licensees, the unconditional and perpetual right and permission to reproduce, broadcast, post, publish, transmit, display, publicly perform, encode, store, copy, adapt, exhibit and/or otherwise use or reuse (without limitation as to when or to the number of times used), the Uploaded Content, as submitted or as edited/modified in any way by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

Any pages containing foul language, graphic or offensive materials will be rejected.
