The contest was in Aguadilla, PR and I was there for a full week exploring, relaxing, and of course Surfing! The waves were overhead the first few days and the last days of the trip. The flat days were still like waist to stomach. In the contest I got 5th in the longboard but I was not satisfied with my shortboard result. The waves were terrible during this day of competition: thigh-high mushy and choppy. After the trip and seeing the level of competition, I am very confident in my surfing and I can’t wait for a contest with good ripable waves so I can compete as well as I know I can!

The waves were absolutely sick! i was there for 5 days and made it to the quarter finals in the shortboard! I almost drowned paddling out at ramp 55 for my longboard heat and was one of 3 guys in my 6 man heat to make it out. I am currently making arrangements to surf on a Bilt surfboards team! thanks to Charleston Water Sports and Island Time for supporting me and pitching in for my entry fee! and thanks to all my other sponsors: SMX optics, DNA energy drinks, and Fuel clothing.

Sept. 24-27, 2008 I will be at Cape Hatteras surfing in Easterns. I have slots in the Jr. Longboard and Jr. Men shortboard. I hope for good waves and that I do my best! I feel I have the potential to make the final in the longboard and the shortboard as well. I also have learned the dates of MidAtlantic Regionals: April 22 - 25 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico! I am highly likely to get spots in the Jr. Men, Jr. longboard, and the Open. stay tuned for results!!!

I've been invited to go to the outer banks Friday through Sunday, August 10-12, 2007. I'm going near Buxton I think, my friend has not told me the exact location. The swell is forecasted to be around 6-7ft. Hopefully I'll have some good pictures to bring home. I don't have any good pictures of me surfing. They're all of really small days during a contest that I probably wouldn't surf normally. I have no pictures of me surfing hurricanes, of big North East swells. Pray for safe travel and great surf!
