How I Got Started

My dad used to ride when he was younger. But, he stopped for awhile because he started to get interested in surfing. Many years later my dad decied to get back into riding. He first got my brother a bike, but I rode it more than he did. So, my dad got me a PW 80. I loved it! It was a really good learing bike for me, but I soon grew out of it. I have had many motorcycles, but I`ll always remember my PW 80.

Goals for the Future

In 2005, I got 4th place at Loretta`s for the girls 65-105cc class. Since I have to move up to the bigger class womens 99-250cc class.  Last year, I wanted to try and get a top five finish for the WMA amateur class, but I was able to finish 3rd!  It was an awesome accomplishment.  This year I will be hopefully turning Pro in November at the Cycle Ranch Championship National.  My goal this year is, to train diligently, try to once again podium for the WMA Championships, and have a fun last amateur season!

My I.Q.

In August of this year I made it through to the LORETTA LYNN A+ HONOR SOCIETY:
Only 174 national riders were inducted into the 2006 Loretta Lynn`s A+ Honor Society. I had to maintain a 3.0 grade point average, and evidenced of my report cards. I also tried out for the Air Nautiques Moto-Brainiac Scholarship! Air Nautiques appreciated the values and commitment that it took for me to become a national contender at this top level of amateur racing. To encourage me to continue my grades, they created the Air Nautiques Moto-Brainiac Award, a $2500 scholarship. I didn`t get the schorlarship, but I was able to finish 4th place out of 21 entries.

Why do you like this sport?

I like this sport because its very challenging. The rewards you get, and the friends you make. I travel alot, and meet new people all the time. I just got back from Loretta Lynn`s. I did really well and got 4th place. I have just gotten off the 85cc bikes. My new motorcycle is CR 250F. I`m really enjoying the 250F, and hope to do well in the mainland with it.

Some Personal Information About Me:

My name is Natalie Eichner. I`m 16 years old and I was born, raised, and still living in Hawaii!  I`m currently home-schooled. I have a grade point average of 3.8 I like to ride, surf, and hang out with my friends. I love to do sports, one of my favorite cross-training sports is Inline Hockey. I play in the boy's 15 to 18 age group.  Hockey really helps me when I ride because, my endurance grows, and so does my strength! I  play hockey three times a week, I try to ride three times a week as well. It`s difficult to get practice here on Hawaii, because our motorcross track is only open on the weekends! But, I`m still working hard to turn Pro this November.  Thanks, Natalie Eichner #808

What do you want to be when you grow up?

When I grow up I want to be a Professional Womens Motorcross Racer, and an Interior Designer.

Schools Attended

I`ve never attended a public school. My parents decided when I was little and still living in Haleiwa that they would like me to be homeschooled. Many people ask me if I could would I go to public school? The answer is no. I love being homeschooled! I agree there are disadvantages but, there are advantages as well. I`m not a socially deprived kid. I just do my school at home. I think public school is cool, but I want to stay homeschooled. I do have a few teachers besides my mom who teaches me the main subjects. I have a two speech and debate teachers. As well as a private piano teacher. I really like music and I can play five instruments. -Thanks Natalie
