Synopsis: Out of nowhere, Jadson Andre has exploded onto the international scene with a barrage of fins-free wafts and spins. Going into the Billabong World Juniors with the No. 1 seed, Andre lost out to Kai Barger in the Final, but is still the most feared competitor on the junior circuit. His radical new approach should translate well to video and photos, too.
Variables: There’s a lot of chatter about this guy. He’s got all the big moves, and loves to unload them. There are a few little tics in his style, but nothing that can’t be ironed out in time.
Forecast: The explosive goofyfooter ventured into the mid-30s on the WQS late into the season. Don’t be surprised if you see him on the WCT in 2010.
