Synopsis: Smooth yet explosive, Evan Geiselman finished second at the Sebastian Junior Pro, and 10th overall on the 2008 the North American Junior circuit. A good result at Nationals rounded out his comp results, while a trip to Indo—with the likes of Jordy Smith and Dusty Payne—helped push his freesurf skills to new heights.
Variables: At only 16, he’s been hyped as the East Coast’s next great goofyfoot, but it remains to be seen if he can fill those shoes.
Forecast: Qualification for the World Pro Juniors is a goal for Evan in 2009. He also plans to focus on his segment in the next installment of Hurley’s Sound and Vision video series. The latter will take care of itself. The former will take some work.
