The classic Aussie country boy, Heath Joske may approach life with a passion for simplicity and purity, his surfing is anything but mellow. While the up-and-coming regular-footer’s a committed vegetarian, his forehand cutback’s got plenty of meat to it, and throw a contest jersey on him and he transforms into a full-on carnivore. Since his 2002 Rusty Gromfest title, Heath has been a fixture n the Australian Junior circuits and, more recently, the Billabong Pro-Teen series. With his father shaping his boards, there wasn’t much chance of escaping the family’s preoccupation with the ocean, but that’s fine with Heath, as he steadily continues to make his mark Down Under.
