One of the brightest competitive stars coming out of Florida at the moment, Cody Thompson is a distinguished member of the U.S.A. surf team and has excelled both in the Eastern Surfing Association and the National Scholastic Surfing Association. A fifth-place finisher at Nationals in 2005, Thompson has since lit it up in the Billabong Surfrat Series, as well as other brand-sponsored specialty events, including a very respectable forth place at the highly competitive 2006 Fear at the Pier contest, finishing behind the likes of Eric Geiselman, Dusty Payne and Wesley Larsen. A well-rounded regular-footer, Thompson is as comfortable in the air as he is behind the curtain. With a knack for keeping it on rail, his power and strength will continue to develop as he grows. Already a top prospect, it’s not long before Thompson joins the rank and file the East Coast’s upper echelon surfers.
